Iron Maiden é uma banda inglesa de heavy metal formada em Leyton, East London, em 1975 pelo baixista e compositor principal Steve Harris. A formação da maior parte da história da banda consistiu em Harris, o vocalista Bruce Dickinson, o baterista Nicko McBrain e os guitarristas Dave Murray, Adrian Smith e Janick Gers. Como pioneiros da nova onda do movimento heavy metal britânico, o Iron Maiden lançou uma série de álbuns de platina e ouro no Reino Unido e nos EUA, incluindo o álbum de estreia de 1980, Killers de 1981 e The Number of the Beast de 1982, seu primeiro álbum com Bruce Dickinson, que em 1981 substituiu Paul Di’Anno como vocalista principal.
