Asia – Discografia (1982-2017) 160-320kbps

Asia é uma banda de rock progressivo inglesa formada em Londres em 1981. O line-up mais bem sucedido comercialmente foi o de um supergrupo de quatro membros de diferentes bandas de rock progressivo dos anos 70: o vocalista e baixista John Wetton do King Crimson e Reino Unido, o guitarrista Steve Howe, do Yes, o tecladista Geoff Downes, do Yes and the Buggles, e o baterista Carl Palmer, do Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Seu álbum de estreia, Asia, lançado em 1982, continua sendo seu álbum mais vendido e foi o número um em vários países.

A banda passou por várias mudanças de formação antes de os quatro membros originais se reunirem em 2006. Como resultado, uma banda chamada Asia Featuring John Payne existe como uma continuação da carreira de John Payne como vocalista do Asia de 1991 até o retorno de Wetton em 2006. Em 2013, o line-up original foi quebrado novamente quando Howe se aposentou da banda e foi substituído pelo guitarrista Sam Coulson. Depois de alguns anos de inatividade devido à saúde de Wetton, ele foi substituído por Billy Sherwood do Yes and World Trade para uma turnê de 12 shows, após o qual a banda entrou em hiato mais uma vez. Em 2019, foi anunciado que Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal se juntou à banda.
