Asking Alexandria é uma banda de metalcore britânica formada em 2008 pelo guitarrista Ben Bruce. A formação atual consiste em Danny Worsnop nos vocais, Ben Bruce na guitarra e vocal de apoio, Cameron Liddell na guitarra, James Cassells na bateria e Sam Bettley no baixo.
Com cinco álbuns lançados, o álbum de estreia da banda “Stand Up and Scream” atingiu a quinta posição na Billboard’s Top Heatseekers. “Reckless and Relentless” ficou em 9# na Billboard 200 e em segundo lugar nos álbuns mais vendidos do iTunes na sua primeira semana de lançamento. Seu mais recente trabalho intitulado o Asking Alexandria, conta com a volta de Danny Worsnop aos vocais, lançado em dezembro de 2017.
O estilo do Asking Alexandria geralmente é descrito como metalcore, electronicore (este último gênero é visto mais em seu álbum de estréia), post-hardcore, com influências de hard rock e heavy metal.
A banda lançou um EP intitulado Under the Influence para homenagear as bandas que os influenciaram, como Journey, Whitesnake, Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard e além disso, o Life Gone Wild EP, que prestou homenagem ao Skid Row, gravando dois covers de suas canções, “18 and Life” e “Youth Gone Wild”. Asking Alexandria citaram Skid Row como sendo uma influência enorme sobre a banda.
Ben Bruce afirmou em várias entrevistas que ele tem influências de The Beatles, Eric Clapton, BB King, Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slipknot, Deep Purple ,Ozzy Osbourne e Avenged Sevenfold
