Death Angel é uma banda de thrash metal americana de Daly City, Califórnia, inicialmente ativa de 1982 à 1991 e novamente desde 2001.
A banda passou por várias mudanças no line-up, deixando o guitarrista Rob Cavestany como o único membro constante; ele e o vocalista Mark Osegueda (que se juntou ao grupo em 1984) são os únicos membros do Death Angel a aparecer em todos os seus álbuns de estúdio.

Death Angel é muitas vezes referido como uma das bandas-chave no movimento de thrash metal da Bay Area dos anos 80, e garantiu slots de abertura nos clubes naquela década, incluindo abertura para seus pares Megadeth, Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, Testament, Overkill, D.R.I., Mercyful Fate e Possessed. Eles também são frequentemente creditados como um dos líderes da segunda onda do movimento thrash metal, bem como um dos “oito grandes” do gênero (junto com o Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, Exodus e Overkill). Seguindo o sucesso underground de seus dois primeiros álbuns de estúdio, The Ultra-Violence (1987) e Frolic Through the Park (1988), o Death Angel assinou com a Geffen Records em 1989 e lançou seu único álbum com a gravadora, Act III, no ano seguinte. Enquanto eles estavam em turnê em apoio ao Aco III, Andy Galeon, então baterista, ficou ferido em um acidente de ônibus e precisou de mais de um ano para se recuperar completamente. Isso resultou no fim da banda em 1991. No entanto, Death Angel se reformou em 2001 (sem o guitarrista original Gus Pepa) no concerto beneficente Thrash of the Titans para o cantor do Testament Chuck Billy. A banda desde então continuou a gravar e tocar, e seu recente álbum de estúdio, Humanicide, deve ser lançado em 31 de maio de 2019.
