Feuerschwanz é um banda alemã de rock/folk metal, com tématica medieval, formada em Erlangen, em 2004. Feuerschwanz celebra vários tópicos reinterpretando não apenas as supostas profissões e costumes medievais, como Prima Nocte (título do álbum), mas também contos de fadas clássicos. A banda, que descreveu seu próprio estilo nos álbuns anteriores como “Comédia Folclórica da Idade Média”, mas principalmente reduziu o assunto a uma mensagem central trivial, frívola e hedonística.
Outra questão que sempre encontra seu caminho nas letras e também faz parte do lema da banda, o Met: a peça homônima do segundo álbum de estúdio Met chicks ele também é celebrado nas canções de drink song, Devil gift, Metmaschine, Metnotstand in Wonderland, Metfest ou Lords of Powermet. Além disso, a saga é construído em torno do guerreiro dos Mets e ele é cantada sobre em Methämmer como parte de Masonic- como rituais.
Outra característica da banda e seu efeito são os chamados “gatinhos”. São mulheres feitas e disfarçadas de criaturas felinas que atuam como dançarinas e animadoras.
