Helloween é uma banda alemã de power metal fundada em 1984 em Hamburgo, Alemanha Ocidental por membros das bandas Iron Fist e Gentry. Sua primeira formação consistiu no cantor e guitarrista Kai Hansen, o baixista Markus Grosskopf, o guitarrista Michael Weikath e o baterista Ingo Schwichtenberg.
Após o lançamento de um EP auto-intitulado e seu álbum de estréia, Walls of Jericho, em 1985, a banda se expandiu para um quinteto com a adição do cantor Michael Kiske, com Hansen optando por se concentrar na guitarra. Sob essa formação, eles lançaram os álbuns Keeper of the Seven Keys (1987 e 1988), que estabeleceram o Helloween como uma banda notável de heavy metal e levaram à criação do subgênero power metal. Hansen deixou a banda logo após o lançamento da Part II e foi substituído por Roland Grapow. Depois de deixar Helloween, Hansen formou o Gamma Ray.
Os dois primeiros álbuns de Helloween sem Hansen, Pink Bubbles Go Ape (1991) e Chameleon (1993), foram fracassos comerciais e de críticos, que criaram tensões entre os membros da banda e levaram à demissão de Schwichtenberg e Kiske. Eles foram substituídos por Uli Kusch e Andi Deris, respectivamente. Os álbuns lançados sob esta formação, Master of the Rings (1994), The Time of the Oath (1996), Better Than Raw (1998) e The Dark Ride (2000), receberam uma recepção mais calorosa de fãs e críticos, gradualmente estabelecendo o Helloween como uma banda de sucesso novamente.
No entanto, as tensões levaram à demissão em 2001 de Grapow e Kusch, que então fundaram o Masterplan juntos. Grapow foi substituído por Sascha Gerstner, mas as tentativas de encontrar um novo baterista foram caóticas e, finalmente, Mikkey Dee gravou a bateria do próximo álbum Rabbit Don’t Come Easy (2003). A banda finalmente encontrou um baterista estável com Daniel Löble em 2005. Sob essa formação, a mais longa de sua história, a banda lançou quatro álbuns de estúdio de sucesso: Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy (2005), Gambling with the Devil (2007), 7 Sinners (2010) e Straight Out of Hell (2013). O décimo quinto e último álbum de estúdio, My God-Given Right, foi lançado em 29 de maio de 2015.
Em 14 de novembro de 2016, a banda anunciou que Kai Hansen e Michael Kiske estavam se juntando ao Helloween para uma turnê mundial, intitulada Pumpkins United World Tour, que foi concluída em 2018; a formação perdurou após a turnê, com um novo álbum de estúdio planejado para um lançamento em 2020.
Desde a sua criação, o Helloween vendeu mais de oito milhões de discos em todo o mundo.
Influenciou bandas como Angra, Hammerfall, Edguy, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, Avantasia, entre outras. A banda possui mais de 30 anos de carreira e vendeu mais de 10 milhões de cópias em todo o mundo, até o momento.

Eu só queria uma vez na vida achar uma discografia de alguma banda pra baixar apenas com os álbuns de estúdio. Valeu pelo trampo, mano, mas PQP 12GB de arquivo pra uma discografia de uam banda que não tem nem metade disso. Eu vou baixar, mas vou apagar todos esses álbuns remasterizados, eps e ao vivo que são extremamente desnecessários. Mas valeu assim mesmo.
