Rainbow (também conhecido como Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow ou Blackmore’s Rainbow) é um supergrupo de rock britânico liderado pelo guitarrista Ritchie Blackmore, ativo de 1975 até 1984, 1993 até 1997 e 2015 até o presente.

Eles foram originalmente estabelecidos com a banda americana de rock de Ronnie James Dio, Elf, mas após seu primeiro álbum, Blackmore demitiu os membros de apoio e continuou com Dio até 1979. Três músicos britânicos se juntaram em 1979, o vocalista Graham Bonnet, tecladista Don Airey e ex- baixista do Deep Purple Roger Glover e essa formação deu à banda seu avanço comercial com o single “Since You Been Gone”. Ao longo dos anos, Rainbow passou por muitas mudanças de pessoal, com cada álbum de estúdio gravado com uma formação diferente, e deixando Blackmore como o único membro constante da banda. Os cantores Joe Lynn Turner e Doogie White seguiram Bonnet, e vários músicos de apoio vieram e foram embora.

Pioneiro do power metal, o trabalho inicial da banda apresentava principalmente letras místicas com um estilo neoclássico de metal, mas depois seguiram em uma direção comercial mais simples com a saída de Dio do grupo.

Rainbow ficou em 90º lugar nos 100 Maiores Artistas do Hard Rock do VH1. A banda já vendeu mais de 28 milhões de discos em todo o mundo, com 1.420.000 cópias no Reino Unido.
